Summary
The 1975 World Series pitted The Boston Red Sox against The Cincinnati Reds. The see-saw battle of titans was ignited by Red Sox rookie sensation (1975 American League rookie of the Year and MVP) Fred Lynn, whose first-frame salvo started the spectacle. By mid-point Cincinnati's Big Red Machine had charged ahead, just six outs from wrapping up the Fall Classic. The game ended with Boston's Carlton Fisk's walk-off homerun in the 12th inning creating a breath-taking victory in Fenway Park
