Summary
When FBI agent Garon Grier buys a ranch in Jacobsville, Texas, he quickly runs into small-town reality: date a local girl and everyone hears wedding bells. But with a tragic marriage behind him, Garon prefers working on the new case that takes most of his time--the investigation of a child predator who has recently escaped from prison. Though Grace Garver grew up in Jacobsville, she too is saddled with small-town realities. Because of a past that everyone knows about, but nobody discusses, she's not considered marriage material. When Garon's research into the convict's past victims leads him to Grace--the one child who escaped death long ago--he discovers that she is once again the target of a determined killer. Can Garon keep her safe?
