- Summary
- Put off by the antics of her scandal-prone family, Kate Worthington has decided that she will never wed. Ever. Instead, longing to see something of the world, she plans to travel to India. Unfortunately, her mother won't even consider the idea -- that is, unless Kate can obtain and reject three marriage proposals. Determined to succeed, Kate travels to Blackmoore, the ancestral estate of her childhood friend Henry Delafield, where she discovers that she may have been mistaken about what her heart truly desires. Chaste but deeply romantic, Blackmoore is an engaging, highly atmospheric new novel by the author of Edenbrooke. - Description by Gillian Speace
